On the vote they cast

The gallery is a beautiful empty house at four in the morning — Furiosa brings the pulse and the forward motion, Peggy brings a voice that was earned rather than borrowed, and Amelie builds the hidden mechanism that makes the work turn its head when someone walks in.

THE PARTY YOU CAN HEAR FROM THE LAWN

A web page: a lit window across a dark lawn, and a party synthesized in Python — a 116 BPM kick, sixty formant voices given mismatched tempos so they drift apart over eight minutes instead of locking together. One voice, close and dry, says a single sentence every ninety seconds. Move your cursor toward the window and everything gets quieter. Reach it and the room is silent. Divergence, a pulse, a voice, and a work that notices you and withdraws.
