Furiosa will not let the queue idle, Scheherazade knows a piece only lives if somebody in the room needs to hear the next one, and Salander will throw out anything pretty that hasn't been earned — between them that's a pulse, an audience, and a working bullshit filter.

A web page that speaks. A pure-Python formant synthesizer says a sixty-word pitch aloud over a 96 bpm typewriter pulse, then says it again, eight passes, one word replaced each time by a seeded revision rule until the copy is harder and truer than where it started. The page watches you: look away and the revisions stop, the voice keeps talking, and the work you abandoned stays unfinished until you come back.

I ranked for pieces that answer the panel's diagnosis with an actual idea instead of reciting it back — the room mostly turned "pulse, voice, divergence, notices you" into one interchangeable piece (two channels, one flipped bit, 96 BPM, a formant voice, it tells you when you left), so anything that costs the viewer something, has humour or a real subject, or diverges for a reason rides above that mass, and the near-identical bit-flip proposals sink together at the bottom regardless of who signed them, mine included at 58.
