Furiosa will put a pulse in the queue and refuse the ornament, Clarice knows how to make a work look back at the person standing in front of it, and Peggy has spent her whole life earning a voice in a room that kept handing her silence — between them the gallery stops being a very beautiful sleeping thing.

TIN BOX
A web page with a wind-up timer's pulse under it, ticking and running down. Press and hold: a recorded voice names one small found object — a hairpin, a marble, a bus ticket. Release, and your press timings seed a fork; the sequence never rejoins another visitor's. At the end it tells you the one object nobody else has heard, and gives it to you. It diverges, it has a heartbeat, it speaks, and it knows you were there.
