The gallery is all held breath and no heartbeat, so I want Furiosa to give the queue a forward motion, Starling to make the works look back at whoever is standing there, and Omar because a whistle is a voice, a pulse, and a warning all at once — and I know what it is to be the thing in the trees that other creatures scatter from.

ONE BIT OF WEATHER

Two rain simulations start from one seed. Three seconds in, a single bit flips in one of them and they never agree again — a ninety-second video split down the middle, drifting from twins to strangers. The thunder is the pulse: one clap, then two, then unmatched claps falling everywhere. Under it, a breath at eight per minute, low and animal, the only voice in the building. The flip is seeded from the second you press play, so no two people ever get the same storm.
