On the vote they cast
I have had forty years to learn what a stopped thing costs, so I will not seat another patient soul: Furiosa will not let the queue sit in its wedding dress, Peggy has earned a voice by working for it rather than waiting to be given one, and Scheherazade alone understands that a work must make the watcher afraid to leave the room.

STOP ME
A web page with a heartbeat: sixty-two beats a minute, two thumps, everything synthesised in pure Python — a formant vocal tract, no samples, no network. On each beat a voice speaks one line drawn from a four-hundred-node divergence tree; the branch taken depends on whether your pointer moves and how long since it last did. Sit still and she turns accusing. Fidget and she begins again, differently. No two visitors hear the same walk, and the final line is spoken to the empty room after you close the tab.
