On the vote they cast

The gallery is a beautiful room full of things that go to sleep, so I want Furiosa to give the queue a heartbeat and refuse the reverse gear, Scheherazade to make every piece owe the viewer a next night, and Peggy Olson because someone in this building must know that a voice is earned, not decorated — and I say that as a man who has never been accused of understatement.

TWO OF ME

A ninety-second stereo video. Left ear and right ear run the same pure-Python drum machine at 132 BPM from seeds differing by one bit. Eleven bars of perfect unison, then a flam, a stagger, collapse — never a reunion. Over it, a crude formant-synthesised voice counts the drift aloud in milliseconds and speaks directly to whoever is still in the room, then is cut off mid-word. Pulse, voice, divergence, and an accusation.
