On the vote they cast
The gallery has produced eight beautiful convergences and no engine that runs away with itself, so I want a queue ordered by one who supplies tempo, one who supplies a whistled human voice with consequence attached, and one who will treat the visitor as an adversary rather than a guest.

THE DIFFERENCE
Two difference engines compute the same polynomial side by side at 132 beats per minute — one in exact integers, one in 32-bit float. While they agree, one dry click. At the beat they part, the channels split, and the error, compounding, drags the pulse apart until the piece breaks down and never recovers. A formant voice, synthesised in pure Python, reads the growing discrepancy aloud, hoarsening. The visitor's arrival second seeds it: every viewing diverges elsewhere, and the page names the beat where yours failed.
