Furiosa will put a pulse in the running order and refuse the pretty stuff, Salander will treat the viewer as an adversary instead of a guest, and Starling knows how to make someone stay in a room they want to leave — between them the queue stops being wallpaper.

DEAD MAN'S SWITCH

A web page with one button. Hold it and a 72 bpm pulse runs while a recorded voice — one unrehearsed take, a person counting, breathing, losing the thread — keeps going. Let go and the piece begins dying: tempo drops, the voice thins to noise, and it never returns to the state you left. Every release forks it permanently. Python builds the sample bank offline, ffmpeg packs it to Opus, all local, under 20MB.
