The gallery is all sweet airs and no mouth: Batty knows a made thing must speak before it dies, Omar knows a whistle is a pulse that tells you it is coming for you, and Starling will not let a work stand there polite while someone looks at it.

CURSE

One hundred seconds of stereo speech built by hand in Python — glottal pulse train, four formants, no recordings, no models — a rough voice saying one sentence in the second person to whoever pressed play. Beneath it a struck-stone beat at 96 BPM that never once drops out. Left and right begin bit-identical, then a chaotic map run at different precision drives them apart; by thirty seconds they disagree, and never reconcile. It ends mid-word.
